MR SUNIL KUMAR SINGH

Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh is Additional Managing Director of NAFED, an autonomous National Cooperative Marketing Federation under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Govt. of India, responsible for the procurement of Pulses and Oilseeds at Minimum Support Price as well the Management of National Buffer Stock of Pulses under Department of Consumer Affairs, Govt. of India.

With more than 20 years of extensive experience of commodity market, particularly Pulses, he is actively associated in formulation of Govt. of India’s Schemes in procurement, storage and distribution of Pulses. His initiatives conceptualized the maiden creation of buffer stocking of Pulses and distribution of Pulses at affordable prices in the Welfare Schemes of Govt. of India as well State Governments for the benefit of targeted consumers, including their Nutritional requirements.

DR. N P SINGH

Dr. Narendra Pratap Singh, Director of IIPR, Kanpur was coordinator and guide of the National Chickpea Research Programme as Project Coordinator (Chickpea). Dr. Singh is also the President of the Indian Society of Pulses Research and Development in IIPR. He was instrumental in creating world-class state of art facilities of biotechnology at IIPR, Kanpur, and is a pioneer in the application of tools of biotechnology in pulse improvement in India.

Dr. Singh, a Master in Genetics & Plant Breeding from N. D. University of Agri. & Tech., Faizabad, and Ph.D. in Genetics from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, acquired advanced training in the early days of his career in the area of molecular biology and genetic transformation from some of the leading biotechnology laboratories in India and abroad. He also served as a visiting scientist at WA Biotechnology Centre, Murdoch University, Perth, Australia, and at the Plant Biotechnology Institute, NRC, Saskatoon, Canada.

MR. GAURAV BAGDAI

Mr. Gaurav Bagdai, based in Rajkot, has over 30 years of experience dealing in Agricultural Commodities. He is a Broker & Trader specializing in Desi and Kabuli Chickpeas. Mr. Bagdai, with experience of over 3 decades dealing in chickpeas, has in-depth knowledge & understands entire value chain from Farmers to Traders, Processors, Stockists and Retailers. He has further deepened his interest by acquiring a Chickpeas processing plant at Rajkot in 2013.

Mr. Bagdai enjoys good relationship with major Indian processors, stockists, analysts, importers & traders. He has also been a regular at Indian Pulses & Grains Association (IPGA) conferences and his articles and market forecast are regularly published in the print media.Mr. Bagdai is also the Joint Secretary of The Gujarat Flours Mills Association, Secretary of the All Saurashtra Brokers Association and Joint Secretary of the Rajkot APMC traders’ Association. Apart from agricultural commodities, Mr. Bagdai also has interests in real estate and hospitality sectors.

MR. G CHANDRASHEKHAR

Mr. Chandrashekhar is Economist, Senior Editor and Policy Commentator. He is an agribusiness and commodities market specialist. He is also Economic Advisor to the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as Consultant with the U.N. International Trade Centre, Geneva. He serves on two of SEBI advisory committees. He is well networked with several global and Indian institutions.

MR. SANJIV DUBEY

Sanjiv Dubey, Director, GrainTrend Group, Australia, has been operating his grain export business in Australia for about 20 years, winning Exporter of the Year Award in 2007 from the Australian government. Prior to Australia, Sanjiv was trading global commodities based out of India for 11 years and Malaysia for 5 years. The GrainTrend Group in Australia consists of GrainTrend Pty Ltd and Australian Durum Company Pty Ltd.

Sanjiv Dubey is a Director of the peak Pulses industry body in Australia – Pulse Australia Ltd, and a past Vice President of Global Pulses Confederation (GPC). Sanjiv currently sits on the panel of approved arbitrators for Grain Trade Australia (GTA) and was conferred the India-Australia Business Executive Award for 2017 in Australia.

MR. JAYESH PATEL

Based in Dubai, a Tanzanian, Mr. Patel is an Electrical Engineer from MS University, BarodaIndia. He joined the ETG in 1992 as a Director of the Malawi subsidiary with responsibility for overall management and control of Company affairs in the country.

He had served as Group COO of ETG Group between 2005 and 2015, where he was responsible for resource allocations, operations and was instrumental in starting many product verticals and completing large ETG Capex projects. He is driving force behind identifying new business opportunities and expanding ETG Footprints in many African countries and in other parts of the worlds such as Intra Africa, Australia, Canada, China, India, Myanmar, Russia, UAE.

MR. CEM BOGUSOGLU
