It is that time of the year when the entire trade in India and overseas starts to take a closer look at the Kharif harvest and the expected production numbers. While the Urad and Moong crops will soon start arriving in the mandis across the country, the Tur crop is now in its growing phase.
However, the omnipresent threat of excess or deficient rainfall at this critical juncture can change the actual production defying the expectations of all experts. Adding to this is the ongoing COVID Pandemic which is causing producers and traders rework their strategies and making the Government of India watch the situation closely, as it develops and unfolds.
The overall scenario, therefore, provides the best opportunity to bring together domain experts together to try and make sense of what can be expected from this year’s Kharif harvest.
IPGA, as a part of its IPGA KNOWLEDGE SERIES initiative, has planned a KHARIF CROP OUTLOOK WEBINAR on SEPTEMBER 18, 2020 at 5 pm. We have invited senior domain experts to participate in the webinar and address critical questions like What has been the sowing area under pulses; What is the expected production of pulses; How has the weather / monsoon affected the production till date; How would the weather hold going forward till the harvest of Tur towards the end of the year; What has been the carry-over stock; What is the expected Demand especially in this COVID-19 pandemic; and so on.
We are sure you would not want to miss the opportunity to listen to our esteemed domain experts and get an updated understanding of this year’s Kharif Crop to plan your own business strategies.
